Pentagon video editors are on the clock now that a federal judge has ordered that several hours of “disturbing” force-feeding videos from Guantanamo Bay are to be prepared for public release.
District Court Judge Gladys Kessler noted that it’s been quite some time since she first ordered the videos be released -- in October.
“We’re taking something that was not permitted … and now we’re creating a whole apparatus to provide for it,” said Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich.
“This is exactly the type of behavior that leads the American public to have such low regard for this institution,” said Rep. Jared Polis.
“We don’t think there is a First Amendment right to classified documents," according to the Justice Department, and judges can't order the declassification of anything no matter what.
